No. VII.
IN THE NAME OF GOD, AMEN, I, J
AMES EASTWOOD, of Castletown, County of Louth, Clerk, being of sound and disposing mind and memory, do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form following hereby revoking all former and other wills whether verbal or in writing by me in any manner made or declared. I hereby appoint my after-named executor, Charles Eastwood my youngest brother, to be trustee for the following legacies: Item-Considering that my Armagh is deeply loaded with debts, and considering that money would be more essential to my dear brother, Samuel Eastwood, and his family, residing in Dublin, than a distant possession of land, I bequeath to my said eldest brother Samuel, during his natural life, the interest of Three Thousand Pounds, and after his death to his eldest son, James Eastwood, by his last wife, Margaret Javoux, or Moron, or Eastwood, till he attains the age of twenty-one, and then to obtain the principal, and in case of said James Eastwood's death before that age, then to go to rest of said Margaret's children by said Samuel provided, however, that neither Samuel Eastwood or any person of all his families ever dispute or attempt to invalidate by any means this my last will, or any part thereof, if they do, then this legacy of Three Thousand Pounds and all interest are immediately to cease, and to be for ever void, and return to my youngest brother Charles Eastwood, and his heirs otherwise to be in full force according to the tenor of my arrangement already expressed. Item - I bequeath to my dear sister Anna Maria Taylor, wife to Matt Beresford Taylor, the interest of Four Hundred Pounds, during her natural life, and the power by her last will, to leave the principal sum among her family as she shall think proper. Item : I bequeath to my dear sister, Charlotte Bigger, wife to Lennox Bigger, the interest of Four Hundred Pounds, during her natural life, and the principal Four Hundred, to be disposed by her last will as she shall chuse to her family. Item : I bequeath to my niece, Isabella Meredith, eldest daughter of Barry Colles Meredith and my sister Elizabeth, the sum of Four Hundred Pounds; all these legacies to commence their respective interests from the day after my decease, and the principal sums to be paid according to my statement. Item : I bequeath to James Murphy, who lived long as servant to my father and me, one annuity of Four Pounds per annum during his natural life only. I order that my youngest brother, Charles Eastwood, shall be liable to all my lawful debts due by bond or otherwise of every description and pay them as soon as he can, and also pay my legacies when regularly due, according to my statement of them, and also that the said Charles shall pay all expenses of every sort which will or may occur on and after my decease; and to enable him to do all this I bequeath unconditionally to him all my Estates, Leases, and Landed Property, with all Emoluments belonging to them, in the County of Armagh; I also bequeath to him, the said Charles, all my buildings, cattle, plate, books, and furniture, and all property whatsoever belonging to me that I shall die possessed of or due to me, also I bequeath to him all debts of every kind that may be owing me, to recover them and apply them as he shall chuse, and I appoint him my residuary Legatee; I also appoint the said Charles Eastwood to be Executor to this my last will and testament. In witness whereof I do to these presents set my hand and seal and publish and declare them as my last will and testament, dated the 22nd day of December, in the Year of our Lord, One Thousand Eight Hundred and Seven.
